ARTD 120 - 3D Texturing (3 Credit Hours)


Offered in Fall term (3-0-0)
A studio-based introduction to the fundamental methods, practices, and processes of ideating and texturing digital 3D assets through a standard pipeline. Topics include: basic software navigation; tools and user interface; elements and principles of design; concept design; basic texturing pipeline; channel breakdown; physically based rendering (PBR) rendering; and export for portfolio. Students will produce a body of work using skills relevant to current industry standard techniques.
