ARTD 270 - Animation II (3 credit hours) Offered in Winter term (3-0-0) An advanced, studio-based continuation of the fundamental methods, practices, and principles of animation. Students further explore the themes outlined in ARTD170, including: connections between traditional and contemporary media; visual communication strategies; the twelve principles of animation; the psychology of mediated experiences; and the history of animation. Topics include time-based media theory, figure studies and kinesthetics, production management, writing in the discipline, and contemporary and historical research.
