STAT 101 - Statistics Preparation (4 credit hours) Offered in Fall and Winter Terms (4-0-0) Supports students as they progress through STAT 200 with one-on-one workshopping, collaborative learning in small groups, and assignments and/or projects tailored to build and support skills necessary for completion of the STAT 200 course. Topics include the algebra necessary for statistical analysis, creating and interpreting graphs, counting techniques, probability, and interpreting statistical hypotheses. Any student intending to enroll in STAT 200 who does not meet the prerequisite of MATH 130 or placement determined by ACT, SAT, or North Central Assessment/Placement scores must take STAT 101 during that same semester. PREREQUISITE(S): Successful completion of MATH 094 or placement determined by ACT, SAT and/or North Central Assessment/Placement scores.
