MATH 094 - Pre-Algebra II (2 credit hours)


Offered in Fall, Winter Terms (2-0-0)
Together, MATH 093  and MATH 094 are designed for students who need to develop algebraic skills before taking Beginning/Intermediate Algebra (MATH 110 ) or Quantitative Reasoning Preparation (MATH 108 ). Topics covered include integers, simplifying variable expressions, solving linear equations, fractions, applications involving proportions and percents, and an introduction to graphing. Additional topics may be assigned by the instructor as deemed necessary for student success. Students will work independently on content until mastery is attained. This course must be taken concurrently with MATH 093  unless MATH 093  has been previously passed. This course is offered on a pass-fail status, does not count toward graduation and will not transfer.
PREREQUISITE(S): Placement in this course is determined by ACT, SAT and/or North Central Assessment/Placement scores.
