The Associate of Arts, Concentration in Art, degree is for students who plan to pursue a bachelorʼs degree in an art field.

MICHIGAN TRANSFER AGREEMENT REQUIREMENTS:
A student must successfully complete at least 30 credits, with at least a 2.0 in each course, to fulfill the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).
Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) Requirements
- 1 Course in English Composition
- A second course in English Composition or 1 course in Communications
- 1 Course in Mathematics
- 2 Courses in Social Sciences (from two disciplines)
- 2 Courses in Humanities and Fine Arts (from two disciplines excluding studio and performance classes)
- 2 Courses in Natural Sciences including one with laboratory experience (from two disciplines)
English and Communications
ENG 111 and either COM 111 or COM 170
Humanities and Fine Arts
Choose one (1) course from Humanities and Fine Arts categories (the second MTA required Humanities and Fine Arts course is satisfied with the pathway requirements)
Social Science
Choose two (2) courses from two (2) Social Science categories
Natural Sciences
Choose two (2) courses from two (2) Natural Science categories
Mathematics: 3 - 5 credit hours
Choose one (1) course
ADDITIONAL PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS (6 credit hours):
ENG 112 and one (1) additional Social Science course from the MTA list
ART PATHWAY COURSES (15 credit hours):
STUDIO ART COURSES (6 credit hours):
It is recommended that students complete two (2) studio art courses in two (2) different mediums.
GENERAL ELECTIVES (6-12 credit hours):
Take an additional 6-12 credit hours. These 6-12 hours can be any course 100 level or higher not taken above. Electives should be chosen carefully.
