This certificate of development program is ideal for those students currently working in an office environment, or those wishing to enter such a setting. Students will gain a basic understanding of the legal field while improving business and written communication skills.
Program Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this program, students will possess and exhibit the following core competencies:
- Describe the fundamentals of managing a law office.
- Explain the role of professional and ethical standards in the legal profession.
- Contrast civil and criminal law.
- Develop a legal case brief with appropriate resources available.
- Discuss the role of diversity in the legal profession.

- Define the roles of State and Federal courts.
