The Associate of Arts, Concentration in Public Health, degree is for students who plan to pursue a bachelorʼs degree in a public health field.
This program is also available 100% online.
A student must successfully complete at least 30 credits, with at least a 2.0 in each course, to fulfill the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).
Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) Requirements
Complete ENG 111 and either COM 111 or COM 170
Choose two (2) courses from two (2) different Humanities and Fine Arts categories
THEATRE AND FILM:
Choose one (1) course. Remaining MTA requirement will be satisfied by pathway courses.
Choose two (2) courses from two (2) Natural Science categories
Choose one (1) course
Complete ENG 112 and one (1) additional Humanities and Fine Arts Course from MTA list
You must also complete Introduction to Public Health and Community Health from another college/university and transfer them to North Central. Work with your advisor to choose appropriate courses.
Take an additional 9-11 credit hours. These 9-11 hours can be any course 100 level or higher not taken above. Electives should be chosen carefully.
