NUR 170 - Holistic Health Concepts (5 credit hours)

Offered in Winter Term (3-0-6)
Designed to further develop the concepts within the three domains of knowledge, skills and attitudes. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of sensory perception, stress-coping, sexuality, mood-affect-congnition, self concept, violence, health-wellness-illness, professional behaviors, caring interventions and safety. Prioroty areas of care will include dependencies, screening and treatment of major depression and treatment of severe and persistent mental illness.
PREREQUISITE(S): Acceptance into the nursing program, NUR 110, NUR 130.
