NISH 150 - Anishinaabek Health Topics (3 credit hours) Offered in Fall Term-Even years only (3-0-0) An introduction to Anishinaabek perspectives on health topics. This course examines the role of traditional medicine and its relationship to Western medicine. Topics discussed include common diseases and their traditional responses, aspects of nutrition, wellness and family tradition in the healing process, and the importance of a healthy community and spirituality in the Anishinaabek perspective.
