EGT 230 - Sensing, Signal Conditioning, & Interfacing (4 credit hours) Offered in Variable Terms (3-2-0) Introduces sensor technologies and the supporting conditioning and interfacing devices and circuits required for their integration into Mechatronic Systems. General sensor performance characteristics will be considered along with the physical principles underlying sensors for specific applications. Key principles for data acquisition will be covered. Semi-conductor and analog devices will be introduced and will form the basis for the design and analysis of circuits for signal processing applications.
