ARTS 101 - Three-Dimensional Design (3 credit hours) Offered in Fall Term (3-0-0) A studio-based introduction to the fundamental methods, practices, and principles of three-dimensional design. Students will explore: working with traditional and contemporary media in additive, subtractive, and modular approaches, building a visual vocabulary, and developing dynamic spatial compositions. Topics include: the elements and principles of art and design, gestalt principles, and contemporary and historical research. A final portfolio will exhibit each student’s body of work.
