PSY 261 - Developmental Psychology (3 credit hours) Offered in Fall, Winter, Summer Terms (3-0-0) The physiological and psychosocial lifespan development of humans from conception to death through classroom discussion and lecture as well as individual student projects. Emphasis will be placed on the longitudinal examination of social, emotional and cognitive development, with a focus on interpersonal relationships with parents, peers and others. Other focus areas will include personality, gender roles, difficulties related to school and work and the impact of nature and nurture across the lifespan.
