PSY 235 - Theories Of Personality (3 credit hours)

Explore the basic theories and different perspectives of personality, and how they relate to the better understanding of human behavior. This course examines personality development, structure, trait constructs, individual differences, and maladaptive forms. Primary areas of focus include dispositional, biological, intrapsychic, cognitive, social/cultural, and disorders of personality. Current research findings in the field of personality psychology are explored within each domain with practical implications for counseling, health professions, business, education, child development and criminal justice fields.
