ENG 241 - World Literature, Ancient-1700 (3 credit hours) Offered in Fall Term-Even years only (3-0-0) A survey of literary works of Western and non-Western literary traditions from approximately 600 BCE to 1700. The course focuses on the literary works as well as their cultural, historical, and artistic contexts and the significance with which they have affected the time period in which they were written and shared and beyond. The course also emphasizes critical thinking and the analysis of literature in order to draw connections to both academic and non-academic ideas.
