NUR 111 - Introduction to Health Concepts (10 credit hours) Offered in Fall term (6-5-5) Introduces the concepts of health within the three domains of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Emphasis is placed on the concepts within the three domains including medications administration, assessment, nutrition, hemodynamics, tissue integrity, mobility, comfort, acid-base balance, communication, interdisciplinary teams, informatics, evidence-based practice, individual centered care, safety, and quality improvement. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to provide safe basic care to individual clients while incorporating the concepts in this course.
