ARTD 160 - Digital Video I (3 credit hours)

A studio-based introduction to the fundamental methods, practices, and principles of digital videography and filmmaking. Students explore: connections between traditional and contemporary media; visual communication strategies; story development; the psychology of mediated experiences; and the history of film. Topics include the elements and principles of design, time-based media theory, production management, hardware and software components, and contemporary and historical research. A final portfolio will exhibit each student’s body of work.
