NISH 111 - Elementary Anishinaabemowin I (4 credit hours) Offered in Variable Terms (4-0-0) An examination of contemporary literature across a variety of genres, with emphasis on the connections between literature and the sociocultural, economic, and political contexts of its production. Provides students with the opportunity to examine current themes and issues from a global literary perspective. A thematic approach may be used to offer more focused attention on key concerns in contemporary literature, as well as the wider social and intellectual contexts informing them.
