ARTS 222 - Introduction to Fiber Studies (3 credit hours)

An introduction to the concepts of design as they relate to dyeing, weaving, knitting, knotting, crochet, printing, repeating pattern, and resist methods in both two and three-dimensional artwork, with emphasis on developing personal imagery and aesthetic. Through exposure to the role of textiles in history, students will gain understanding of the importance of textiles and textile technologies to human history.
